Tapas Vegan Cheese
Say… Vegan Cheese!
Never thought we'd say this again; but vegan cheese made from cashew nuts is really the bomb! Not only is it cracking good for humans and animals, it is also very tasty! And you can easily make it yourself in your own kitchen. There is no livestock farming, milking machine, steaming cow pie or emissions involved. It's just a matter of sustainable nuts, a little patience, a food processor and enjoy.

Our cashew nuts are a bit broken. Not very! For example, we add value to a residual flow from the farmer in Burkina Faso. They come straight from Burkina Faso to the Netherlands, with a fair price for the farmer.
How to make it?
1. Soak the cashew nuts in water overnight. Drain and pat dry with a tea towel.
2. Place the cashew nuts in a food processor and add the contents of the bag, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of (apple) vinegar.
3. Run the food processor for at least 3 minutes until smooth. Too thick? Then add a teaspoon of water.
Store in the fridge and spread on a toast. Consume within 5 days.
