Let's do Goods socks are designed by artists with lived experience in the field of homelessness, addiction or psychiatry. They are also called outsider artists. Let's do Goods gives them a stage for their story and work on their socks.
On top of this, a pair of socks is donated to peoples in need for every pair of socks sold, in collaboration with The Salvation Army, Quiet, Food Banks and local partners.
Discover the artist Juan David Podesta Bravo:
David was born in Chile and emigrated to the Netherlands in the late 1980s. He ended up in Groningen, found love here and embraced the Netherlands. He has various jobs but in the evenings he discovered his passion for art. He decides to attend the art academy next to his work and slowly art takes an important place in his life. David divorces his wife and due to various circumstances during this turbulent time, he becomes homeless. Art was his support and helped him to work on his recovery. He is always working to become a more complete artist. He now has his own home again and continues to develop through his work.
'Kleurrijk' (Colourful) is the work David made for this sock. Clean lines with soft colors. Celebrate life, is the message. When people see the work they should get a sense of strength.
This artwork is made of: 95% Cotton, 3% Polyester, 2% Elastane / Size: 36-40
