DETAILS
After the success of their book 'België voor kinderen en hun baasjes (Belgium for children and their owners) the one and only Thing Seekers come with a new bible for all those who love discoveries in their own country: Het boek voor ontdekkingsreizigers in België (The book for explorers in Belgium).
Their selection criteria are the same, but this time they present all those special places in about 50 equally special lists such as:
the 4 coziest camping spots in Flemish gardens
2 breathtakingly beautiful starting places for a canoe trip
the 6 nicest places to take your grandma to
the 6 nicest places to take your grandfather
the 2 craziest nights to never forget
the 3 coolest places for a weekend in the wild
the 5 most beautiful places for architecture fans in Brussels
the 3 coziest XL holiday homes in Wallonia
The emphasis is on places in nature and in the countryside, although the nicest cities are not forgotten either. Most addresses are great for families with children, but also absolutely worth it without a crowd. All selected places were personally visited by the makers Kristien In-'t-Ven and Greetje Van Buggenhout. Kristien wrote the texts, Greetje provided the images.
Kristien In-'t-Ven is the author of children's and travel books such as 'De Zeepridder', 'Never listen to your mother and other wise advice from important women' and '360° Paris'. Greetje Van Buggenhout works as a photographer for a whole range of magazines. She also makes her own visual work, which always revolves around people and their stories. Together they are the Thing Seekers and they make reports for their website, Instagram and Facebook page of the same name.
